To start off, I mean, what really piqued my curiosity about the human body and all the things that it's truly capable of, I used to be a professional ballroom dancer for 16 years. I was a United States ballroom champion. I was a world competitor. I was a United States representative across the globe since the age of 10.

And the human body, moving it for hours on end, there's no off season for dancing. So you're in it. And the body is incredibly fascinating. It can do things that people couldn't even imagine. And it's really, really extraordinary. And we don't even fully understand it yet.

And so that really piqued my interest in physical medicine, what really just kind of catapulted me into the physical therapy realm, essentially. And as I got deeper and deeper into this field, I realized there's a lot of misconceptions, especially when it comes to imaging.

And people who are getting MRI results and x-ray results saying that they have arthritis, they need hip replacements or joint replacements so that they have labral tears, that they have to get laminectomies and all these different kinds of things, which is crazy because those people who are told these things, who have limitations, who have pain, can then go on without the surgery to get rid of pain entirely.
