I grew up in Raleigh, where NC State and UNC and Duke and those schools are around there.
That became just my total obsession.
Just like how you got this amazing stuff on your walls, I had poster boards on my walls with how fast my 40-yard time was, how far I could throw a football, and that just became all I could think about.
From the time I was about eight until I was 18, I wanted to play college football.
I wanted to be a quarterback somewhere, and that was all I worked on.
I just worked day and night and then had the opportunity.
I got recruited by a bunch of Ivy League schools and Patriot League schools.
I ended up choosing to go to Georgetown for college.
Nice.
Which you probably didn't know we had a football team in Georgetown.
We do have a football team in Georgetown.
Right on.
Well, so for me, the big changeβ Misdiagnosed.
Misdiagnosed.
Well, and actually, even before that, there was this major change.
So I get to Georgetown.
It's like I achieved this dream.
I'm going to play college football.
A couple weeks after I get there, I get this phone call that just changed my life.
And it was my dad.
