There was a family who came to dig with me at the museum.

And the little girl, she was probably about six or seven.

She was so excited, you know, she wanted to get out on the dig.

And her older sister was a teenager.

She was like 13, 14.

And she was like, yeah, this is dumb.

I don't want to do this.

And anyway, I'd kind of set the family up.

And her sister, the older one, she was like, yeah, I don't want to do this.

I was like, that's all right.

Take your time and kind of set her off digging over there.

Anyway, she found another giant bone of a dinosaur and it blew her mind.

And she absolutely loved it after that because she wasn't interested.

But then as soon as you have that kind of feeling of discovery and seeing it for the first time, it was just like, oh, bloody hell, look at this thing.

Yeah, I mean, to a point, yeah.

I think from whether it's kind of discovering something in a museum and working out like it's a new species or whatever.

I remember that with the ichthyosaurus hanging one, after working out that was a new species and thinking, I'm going to be the first person in history to name one after Mary Anning was quite an emotional thing to have that.

But also, one of the most emotional ones was finding that ichthyosaur out near the glacier in Chile because I knew what it meant for the...

for the community as well, for the locals who study this stuff.

And even to the point of the trip to Queensland, being out in way back, out back, kind of went to two places, one in Winton and one in Richmond, where the communities are less than a thousand people living there.
