I want to hang with these guys.
And that's the funny thing about your show is that people really still love it.
There was a warmth and a heart to that show.
And it was wildly disappointing that that's all that I got to do, but I got a great billing.
And that's what my agent, you know, back then, and I'm sad that I split my agents and my attention.
But when this hosting thing happened, literally the birth of hosting shows, Ryan Seacrest and I had the same agent for a long time, who's now the head of Sean Perry, who's the head of Endeavor.
but he was very aggressive and sean and um ryan was really smart ryan didn't want to be an actor he just wanted to be a host yeah i had a really cool career as a tv host i just didn't see myself that was never my first love right so while i got offered e entertainment and i got offered a lot of other shows like the view and stuff not really what i wanted to be focusing on i wanted to be an actress i believed for a little probably a little too long that i could be the next julia roberts or sandra bullock and i did a lot of stage work i created some amazing characters here's a fun fact
I created a one-woman show.
I was doing a play with Ted Lange from Love Boat.
And I wrote some monologues, and I showed them to him.
And he said, these are brilliant.
I didn't like my writing.
And he said, no, no, no, these are brilliant.
I'm going to produce this for you.
Well, Lily Tomlin saw my one-woman show.
And I don't know if you know, but she did a Tony Award-winning show called Search for Signs of Intelligent Life.
And she cast me in the roles, all 15 of them, so she could rewrite it, update it, and then she did it in LA.
