You can either say none of this makes sense because there's no God, you know, because it's all based on nothing, or you can say it does make sense.
Therefore, there has to be an ultimate principle of sense.
There has to be something that causes sense to make sense, that makes it possible for sense to make sense, and there's God.
Now, people don't usually think it through that far, right?
The
one other thing that I would suggest to this person is, well, you're living as though you already know that there's no God, but you don't.
If you're saying, I wish I could believe in God, at least, you know, mean that, mean that you're open to the possibility.
Why don't you try living as though there is a God or living as though there is the Christian God?
Why don't you try praying?
You know, you can pray.
It's okay if you think you're praying to the wall.
As long as you take seriously, if I'm wrong and you're not the wall,
Here is what I'm saying.
Why don't you try worshipping?
Why don't you try to live as you would if you did believe in him?
See what happens.
