It can be a sort of a fun put down.
I once was trying to talk about sexual complementarity to an audience.
And, you know, this is the idea that there's something men and women need each other.
They balance each other.
There's something that is not as fully present in the man that is more fully present in the woman.
There's something that is not as fully present in the woman that is more fully present in the man.
And without each other, we'd be unbalanced.
Even people who don't marry.
need the presence of women in their lives, women who are friends, women who exist.
And I said, by way of illustration, I said, most of the audience in this particular audience were women.
And I said, women,
Haven't you noticed that there are some things that seem to be sort of missing in your husbands?
Or I phrased it some clumsy way like this.
And they all started laughing.
They weren't laughing because they were mocking their husbands or because they didn't love them.
They said, yes, of course.
