It's almost certainly a flower that the Maya equated with death.
The flowers that you get in Hawaii, like those lei flowers, it's a variant of that.
It's one of the death flowers, but we don't know the word for it.
And we can't quite get our handle on it.
And you don't know why they associated this flower with death.
I mean, some of them are rather, rather easy.
So like marigolds are rather easy.
They, they drive away flies.
And so you put, yeah, so you don't want, you don't want the body to actually, because it's, it's hot, right?
It's, you don't want to put a rotten body and have the rotten body basically be covered in flies.
So you have marigolds.
So that's a fairly easy one.
Why you would want some of these other ones, I have no idea.
Um, some of them are flowers.
