Yeah, of course.
Thanks for having me invited.
Yes, correct.
I mean, we...
I mean, I've had this experience before having tinnitus after fitness classes.
I've seen many patients with similar experiences.
Yes, correct.
Yeah, exactly.
So, I mean, the tinnitus really kind of means that it can be any sound that doesn't correlate with any outside providers.
But usually after loud noise exposure, you can have ringing, buzzing sound.
It can be a whooshing sound and all sorts of different sounds that can come out of your head.
Generally, more commonly about seconds to minutes.
But in my clinical practice, I definitely have seen patients coming in who had the sudden onset ringing that occurs for days, for months.
And sometimes it can turn into a chronic tinnitus that can last more than three months.
There's no cure for it, but there's a lot of strategies that try to make the tinnitus rather less bothersome for the patient.
So a lot of the therapies are including the sound therapy, play some white noise in the background.
Some people do the cognitive behavior therapy, and that's actually proven to be very effective.
And there's actually a new concept of neuromodulation, but there are always new technologies coming out for tinnitus, but nothing breakthrough that really
cures the tinnitus at this point.
