For me, finding meaning and purpose is like a very practical thing.
And that's what I want to talk about today.
What I would say that science and spirituality can really add is it's effective in terms of reducing suicidality, improving resilience, giving them a reason to wake up in the morning.

So the first thing to understand is it is an internal feeling.

You know, it's interesting.
You mentioned a lot about mental health.
I'm a psychiatrist.
So for me, finding meaning and purpose is like a very practical thing.
So literally, a patient will come into my office.
They'll say, I have no reason to live.
There's nothing worth it in life.
I am suicidal.
I want to kill myself.
So I have a job as a clinician to like fix that problem in a very like practical way.
So I've got, you know, a couple of weeks, hopefully 15, 20 weeks to teach them how to find purpose.
And so usually the way that I approach that is there's a lot of sort of evidence-based scientific approaches to finding purpose.
