That'll make me sound like a bit of a...
you know, a woohoo kind of.
You go to Byron Bay.
I was just going to say Byron Bay.
I promise I'm not shaking crystals to anyone listening to this.
But just letting yourself feel that and know that it's okay to feel like this resonates with you and to feel that, holy shit, this might be me or this is me, but this feels really validating to hear this.
It's just leaning into that, I think.
And I guess what I would want to say to people just in general when we're thinking about mental health and mental health conditions or diagnoses, it's to just know that that's just as valid as anything else in medicine or health.
Like if we wouldn't shy away from booking an appointment to see our GP, hopefully, to talk about blood on the toilet bowl or a missed heartbeat or a sore gut that's been there for a week.
we should not be thinking or feeling any differently about seeing a doctor or seeking out some professional support if we're worried about our mental health or if we're hearing something about a symptom and thinking, oh shit, this might be me.
So I just want those people listening or anyone listening to know that if it's to do with mental health and what's going on inside your skull, that is just as valid to be feeling and checking out and getting support for as anything else.
So just lean into that.
Yeah, I mean, there's some really, really good ones.
There's, you know, the ADHD Foundation in Australia has really good information.
And obviously it's Australian based, but Australia and New Zealand don't.
very very closely linked and very similar so that's got a lot of great resources for people you know there are some really great books as well you know I think there's the you know it all makes sense now is a book that is really helpful and validating for a lot of people as well you know so I think just not being afraid to kind of go online and have a bit of a look and a research as well
I will say keep an open mind and stay skeptical, perhaps, if you're on Instagram and TikTok.
There's a lot of really great information on there about health and mental health and ADHD.
But there's also a lot of...
kind of misinformation and, you know, rubbish for want of a better word out there as well.
