I hope so, because I hope that's where we're going, that we can recognize that ADHD affects all different kinds of people, regardless of socioeconomic status, race, gender.
One of the prominent stereotypes has been that ADHD is a male-only disorder.
Now, it's certainly true that ADHD is more likely to be diagnosed in males, but there are plenty of women and girls with ADHD that are very affected by the disorder.
And it's possible that because of our stereotypes about what ADHD is and who has it, that especially in the past, some girls might not have been diagnosed even when they needed help.
