I agree.
And I think that we've lost perspective of ourselves.
Because I think people come to therapy to try to fix everything outside of them rather than slowing down to look at themselves.
I had a gentleman show up in my office who had been in therapy for 11 years, and he wanted a new therapist.
So he showed up.
Right, and the question that I asked him was, but where are you in those situations?
And it was dumbfounding to him at first, but then he stepped back and kept looking at, well, where am I in that moment?
What do I think?
What do I feel?
What do I believe?
And what am I experiencing?
And when I can see that, then I have the power to make change rather than giving that away to somebody else.
And I think that the more we, if we're not careful, we can go to therapy, but if we're trying to make the world different, it's a losing battle.
It all starts with us.

Yeah.
There.
Because it's out of the face of Jesus Christ.
And it's one of the very few, if not the only time that he answered a question very directly and didn't give a parable.
And the question came to him with a Pharisee attorney.
