And this blew my mind because what it shows us is that what we think
can change how much of our hormones get released.
Other thing, it changes our physiology at this deep, deep level.
And I think what this new science of belief effects really shows us is that we have the power to change our body in a way that can really serve us.
So we might, we often tell ourselves in our minds about how something might happen.
We might worry about, we might say, okay, I think this is going to go really badly and things are going to go
Things will just not work out for me.
And when you do that, you'll be releasing maybe more stress hormones and things will go more badly.
But why not just tell yourself the positive version of events?
Why not just say, actually, I think this is going to be okay.
I'm going to be okay.
And not only will you...
have a better physical body state, you will perform better.
Like science shows us this now.
So how we think about things really matters.
Mindset really matters.

But one of the things I learned was, well, when you view that stress response and your heart racing and your palms being sweaty and you're breathing fast, if you tell yourself that it means that you're not coping with a situation, then you will do worse.
But if you remind yourself that actually that's just your body's stress response helping you to deal with that situation and to
