So there are no easy answers to any of that.
And this is the big thing about purpose.
Do we work for money and salary?
Do we work for social connection?
Do we work for something to do?
It's all of the above, you know.
And so we spend our working lives, most of our lives at work, which is time away from loved ones, right?
Most of our time is at work.
When we don't work, what we can see is through sort of a welfare culture, many generations, multiple generations that have not had job opportunities, that purposelessness can lead to degradation of society, addiction, hopelessness, unfortunately, increased suicide rates and crime.
All of the things that we don't want.
Yet we're not having a national debate about that.
We should be thinking about all of the possible outcomes of this rather than jumping on the is it good, is it bad, dystopian, utopian.
It's all of these things are possible.
But we need to put things in place right now to mitigate against those or to figure out how to support them.
And I think that some of the roles that are going, especially drivers, cashiers, those kind of roles, I think they're going to affect one particular class over another.
I also think that we're going to see much more impact in terms of women and AI and the impact on women from sort of other jobs that they would take on, smaller jobs or second jobs or third jobs and shifts.
And I think that a lot of those are going to go as well.
And so I think, you know, I think we've got a lot to work on, a lot of problems to be solved.
