So they weren't producing hormones.
And then I had another patient who was 14.
She had a cyst removed from her ovaries.
And then a year later, another cyst, but they essentially removed most of her ovaries.
So she's sitting in class, like not being able to concentrate, not having a clue what's going on.
And who do you talk to, you know?
So it took both of those people 10 years for diagnosis and then another 10 years for the right treatment.
It's awful.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So, you know, and then people think we can exercise our way out of menopause or we can, you know, do some mindfulness or whatever.
And, you know, it's a hormone deficiency.
You wouldn't do that.
If someone had an underactive thyroid gland, you wouldn't say, OK, just go for a walk in the woods and do a bit of chanting.
A glass of water should be okay.
Yeah, we do.
And it's so unnecessary.
Yeah.
And it's not even, you know, you're going to have to branch out.
I'll have to mention a bit because...
There's a lot of women with PMDD, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, and PMS, where they have essentially perimenopause just for a few days before each period.
