Here's the next problem, though.

A lot of the embryos that form from our eggs, even when we're young in our 20s thinking we're the most fertile we're ever going to be, at that point, even at that point, 20% to 25% of those embryos are not healthy and cannot implant.

And that is something that gets worse as we get older.

So when we're talking about biological clock, we're talking, what is the odds or chance that you will release a healthy egg that has all of the DNA it's supposed to have?

I know this is a lot of information, but think about your eggs as, you know, having these like file folders or like

a filing cabinet, let's say.

But they're filing cabinets that are from like Ikea.

They don't stand the test of time.

And so they're supposed to keep your chromosomes, which is how your DNA is packaged, organized.

And you start getting more and more disorganization as you get older because that protein that's supposed to keep the chromosomes organized breaks down.

And there's no repair mechanism.

So if you're staying at best in your 20s when you ovulate an egg, the embryo that results has a 20% to 25% chance of being abnormal.

At 37, 38, it's more like 50%.

And at 40, it's more like 70%.

So it can take many more random lottery-like ovulations

to finally have all these things line up as you get older.

And there's a much higher risk of things like miscarriage because the number one cause of miscarriage in the first trimester is having an embryo that formed and developed and even implanted for a little bit, but it was missing or had extra DNA.

And a lot of those errors, not all of them, but most of those typos are derived from the egg because we've been holding onto them for two, three, four decades at a time and we have no repair mechanisms.

It's something that happened in your body that you cannot control.
