A rare example, and this is not going to be applicable to the large proportion of people listening to this, but it's an interesting case.
I had a patient whose husband was a professional biker, and he was biking for hours and hours a day.
And it was causing this repetitive stress or trauma to the area.
And he had major issues.
So there's so many different ways that it can be affected.
But the good news is there's always room for improvement.
Yes.
So I would say in women, a lot of times age is a huge factor for the women I'm seeing.
Um, but I also think that it is important to highlight that there are many people in their twenties that might have infertility.
And it's interesting because a lot of people in their twenties who go through infertility feel extremely frustrated because there's less of a narrative about it.
And therefore there's a lot of dismissing.
And a lot of them are coming to me after seeing their OBGYN or other doctors who are like, you're okay, you have time.
And they're like, what are you talking about?
I've been trying for four years.
So there's less urgency in how they're treated and addressed.
And there's more stigma because most of their peers maybe aren't dealing with that.
But issues like PCOS, which means
a tendency to ovulate irregularly.
And if you're not ovulating or you never know when you're about to ovulate, it makes it way less efficient because of everything I explained about the timing, right?
This is why you start with the Biology 101 and then everything else makes sense.
