And I was reaching the finish line.
I saw this gentleman who was like clearly in his eighties.
He was going to pass me.
I said, wait a minute.
No, I'm not going to let you do that.
On the one hand, I loved it that this gentleman was in his 80s and was about to hit the finish line.
Good for him.
And I thought, you know, I want to be like you when I'm in my 80s.
And I think that's the way I like your listeners to think about themselves when they get older.
We need to change the way people perceive aging.
A lot of people think with aging, yeah,
you fall apart, you know, you slow down, you sit by the pool, you do crossword puzzles, and you know, you're older, half your age.
No.
You need to set the goal that I'm going to be in my 70s and 80s, I'm going to be happy, I'm going to be active, I'm going to be doing things, I'm going to travel, I'm going to work, I'm going to do things.
There's no reason
for you to not do things just because you get your 80s.
And as you said, you can't start doing these things necessarily when you turn 80.
The best time to do it is when you're younger, 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s and 60s.
