And so what a person like Sawi does is really understands how to just get right on this kind of physiological red line, like a high-performance vehicle.

And one of my first coaches described running any endurance race or doing any really difficult training session like putting your hand in warm water.
and turning the temperature of the water up slightly every minute or two, and then at about two-thirds or three-quarters of the race distance, making sure it's as hot as you can possibly stand, and then see what happens for the next 25% of the race.
And that's what these individuals were able to do.
The fortitude associated with the training and just the ability to manage their suffering over time is what's impressive.
But all of that is, you know, you've got to have the ability to begin with.
You've got to have the environment.
You've got to have the motivation, of course.
