So I've been very pleased that the federal government is doing a great job of just saying, let's try all the things.
Like you said, they're not against gene therapy.
They're not against Big Pharma.
They're not in Big Pharma's pocket.
They're just saying, look, what's going to work?
We'll know when it works.
We'll all know when it works.
And for the things that it has worked, phenylketonuria and cochlear implants, the government paid a ton of money on cochlear implants.
You just do the next thing, next thing, next thing, next thing.
And now there's multiple companies that sell those and you can have that.
They tried that for the retina.
And so far, correct me if I'm wrong, they're still not an awesome.
One of my first students is Henry Ford working on the retinal prosthesis.
It's still hard.
Yeah.
They'll get there.
Don't give up because it's hard.
Just because it's hard doesn't mean we give up.
