It wasn't a success. What happened was- The program director asked me to fill in for a guy on KGO I never listened to because I'm not up in the middle of the night. So I figured, yeah, I'll do radio. So I go on KGO at night. I didn't even know who he was. And I start talking about stuff that I believe in. And people were calling. The most hateful calls I've ever had in my life.

No, no. I went home and I said to my wife, I'm never going to do radio again as long as I live. It was the most hateful experience of my life. I'm not doing it again. Next day, the phone rings. And the rest is history. She begged me to do it again. I said, I'll never do that show again. And I'll never do an overnight show again. And before long, they created KSFO, the conservative alternative.
