All right, so let's just get this straight.
So basically collagen.
Collagen is the most abundant protein that we have in the body.
It is also the most abundant protein that we have in our skin and it makes up 70% of the dermis.
And basically, as you mentioned previously, we do start to lose collagen when we hit our mid-20s.
So we start to lose about 1%.
per year.
And then I know that not many people out there are close to this, but maybe there are.
When we get to menopause, it really drops off a cliff.
So we lose 30% in the five years following menopause.
