But you know what I mean.
It's unrestricted.
So they're doing that.
That is happening.
So there basically is a thin veneer of digital privacy out there.
It's not really there.
And of course, when you read about it, and this always bothers the hell out of me, this gets back to our previous conversation about the unshittification of everything, is that it's like, well, you can do these 30 things to protect your privacy.
It's like, okay, so that's just, you're putting all the burden on the end user.
You know, 30 more things I got to think about.
You can go through every single app and make sure that you restrict the permissions as much as possible.
But then some of the apps just stop working.
Well, sometimes, yeah, then sometimes it reduces the functionality of the app.
So I recently, for the Dawkins article I talked about a couple weeks ago, it was behind a paywall.
So I paid three bucks, right, to get access to it for like, you get first month for free for three bucks.
So I did it.
I got the article, read it, made a copy for my own personal use only, and then I canceled my subscription, right?
And I had opted out of all of the send me notifications, I still got it.
I then said unsubscribe, and I still got it.
I'm still getting crap from them, even though I've unsubscribed and opted out of everything.
Yeah, that's not the issue.
