It's all important.
But somehow we need all those pieces of the puzzle when we sleep to help us to function the best that we can.
Definitely, you know, there have been studies that have shown that it's so important for getting rid of the waste products in the brain.
And it's not just the brain because it's happening throughout the whole body.
but of course the brain is really the powerhouse of the body.
And so it's getting rid of, you know, if our cells are working constantly during the day, then there's a period where it is a clean-up, where they get rid of all the nasty toxins.
Also, it really helps, sleep helps with the immune response.
That's what a lot of people don't realise, that sleep is so important for healing the body,
And unfortunately, our hospitals are not really set up to help people sleep when they're in hospital, but they probably should be because sleep really helps healing for the body, helps with the immune response if you're trying to fight infection.
One of the things your body does is it kind of gets you into bed.
And you just need to lie there.
And if you can sleep, you usually do feel better if you're unwell.
So that's all a part of the body's process is to make us well and function as good as we can throughout the day.
I think, look, there are many researchers that are interested in this.
And, I mean, it's been around for a long time.
We all sleep.
Most species of animals sleep.
There is some form of sleep that's needed.
And definitely, you know, the old proverb that, you know, if you've got a problem, sleep on it, and then usually you've got a pathway forward the next day.
So sleep really does help with processing complex information and
