Those play together.
I don't know if you guys remember back, I don't know, a year or so ago, people were freaking out that there was the tiniest bit of maltodextrose in Element, the electrolyte product.
I love Element.
I promote them.
They actually sponsor this podcast.
But that is an electrolyte for active people doing active things.
It's very high in sodium.
I'm not going to get into all the details because I haven't talked to the owner and I don't know why there is a little bit of maltodextrose.
But when I heard that, I was like, good.
And here's why.
Because one, they need it as a flow agent so that it doesn't glom up and turn into a rock very quickly.
You guys have had supplements that turn into rocks that are in powder form and then, you know, you forget about them for three months and you come back and they're rock hard.
A little maltodextrin helps with that.
But more importantly, we need glucose to drive our electrolytes into our cells.
So these like no-carb, carnivore, no-sugar people pounding electrolytes cracks me up.
It cracks me up, you guys.
I'm like, dude, you actually need glucose.
That is how biochemistry works, is you need glucose to drive the sodium into the cell.
You need glucose to help regulate the mineral status.
I'm not saying you need to be pounding candy, but you actually need a little bit of glucose in there.
