That's all I'm trying to get across is it will potentially pull you out of the tailspin to buy you time to get you to the next location.
or to get you into the next therapy that you need.
And I'm not trying to talk you out of it.
This is not instead of.
Again, this is get yourself to the medical care that you need.
But in a pinch, to get over that hump, she was so, so sick.
And there wasn't any time.
I would have done this regardless of whether she was being transported to the ER or not.
So...
anyway i'm getting bags of saline back in my 20s pregnant super sick finally my blood pressure comes up and then the doctor said okay now i can evaluate you so i was in such a bad state that he wasn't going to do anything until we got me rehydrated and that's kind of the attitude i took with my mom was like she was in such a severe state that we had to get her some hydration back in her before we could make sense of what was going on and what to do so
I share all of that.
Again, not medical advice.
Do not hang your hat on this and avoid the medical care that you so desperately need in these situations.
I know some of us after 2020 are a little gun-shy of doctors and hospitals, particularly in this part of the country on the West Coast, but do not avoid getting the care that you need when you need it.

You might need this in a pinch.
And if you are in a hotel or you're out of town or you're by yourself, you can grab sugar packets from wherever.
And I actually always carry salt on me.
That's the part I want to leave you with in this episode.
I call it my emergency salt.
