So we call them neuromodulators.
Traditionally they are used as, um,
drugs for psychiatric reasons, but we're not using them at doses or for that purpose.
It's because the same neurotransmitters that are in your brain are also in your gut.
And so we're really targeting those nerve signaling issues.
Well, I certainly wouldn't self-diagnose yourself with IBS.
If you are having symptoms, especially if they impair with your quality of life, so your ability to go to work, go out with friends, socialize, like definitely get that checked out because we are also seeing a lot of cases of an increase in young onset colorectal cancer.

And a lot of young people will tell me, I thought it was IBS for years.
Somebody else told me it was IBS and then it ends up being cancer or something more serious.
So certainly don't ignore that.
Oh, for IBS?
I think there's lots of products being sold out there that are very questionable for IBS.
So certainly look at it with a degree of skepticism and then try to discuss it with a medical professional or get your advice from someone who's actually, you know, experienced with treating IBS.
There are certainly supplements that are very effective for IBS, but most of them are not effective.
So...
be skeptical about those ones.
It gets better.
There are treatments out there that work.
You don't have to live and suffer for your entire life.
