Sometimes it is, you know, but you still have to work it.

I don't know that I completely bombed for a long time, but for a long time, you're figuring it out all the time.

If I go out now, say I'm doing a 10-minute set somewhere and a joke's not working, I can just switch gears and go into some other material.

Or if I'm trying new stuff, I just switch to the old stuff.

But when you're new, it's all new stuff.

Yeah, right.

For me, it's like I have nothing else going on in my life.

There is no prospect that I will be successful in life.

I'm living in Charleston, South Carolina.

I moved there.

I don't know anyone.

I'm working at Office Depot.

Everyone I work with is old, and my life is not looking good.

And I go, I got to do something.

And so you just, I took some improv classes and I go, okay, I'm around some young people.

This is fun.

And then I meet some people talking about stand up and I go, this is a good way for me to meet people.
