And they just created bonus programs that weren't even like there was no zero chance of of achievability.
You'd have to ride a rocket to the moon to get it.
And so it just really was disempowering.
And you get the actual reverse result that you're looking from a good bonus structure and compensation plan.
And then I think the other piece to it would be celebration.
You know, when people win, celebrate it.
This is not an area that I'll be honest, full disclosure, I'm probably not the best at.
But have somebody on your team who is in charge of celebrating wins along the way.
Onboarding with outcome is the next one.
When you're onboarding somebody, you really need to have an outcome.
What is the plan for onboarding?
You know, they start day one and they're excited.
You're excited.
And between day one and six to 12 months, oftentimes that excitement falls dramatically.
It all starts with onboarding.
Do you have an onboarding plan?
What does the cross-contextual training and onboarding system look like?
Are they spending time in different departments?
Are they understanding the goals?
Do they get a chance to meet the team?
