I especially because in my book, when I wrote about when my sister came out to me and when I wrote about me not wanting kids and why, when I wrote about those two things, I had to like share them, like obviously with my sister, I had her like. um moving piece for me and becoming a better person and growing and changing and stuff because the way i reacted my sister came out to me wasn't inherently awful it wasn't like i hate you you're disgusting it but it wasn't good either it was just unsupportive and so that's why i felt like it was important to include stuff like that just because it's it is about you but it's about your faults it's about your mistakes it's about your mess

growth and changing and realizing what once you held so dearly actually doesn't serve you right and like there's nothing I think more empathetic than that is like acknowledging that sometimes two things can be true at the same time like you may have been navigating it the best way you knew how but it also could have been harmful and it could have been hurtful and maybe it's okay that we acknowledge both of those things happened and we can and the important part is where you're at now like and like you said it's so important especially for the trans community especially now
