And also from an engineering perspective of how we achieve going from the first version, which was like speculating about what might happen to the current version, which is now actually simulating the entire change 10 levels deep.
It has all been keyframed on those in-person events.
The most important thing to me when I'm hiring is a sense of ownership of what you've built.
I want people who will argue with me about the right way to do things, about what's most important for our customers, about what font we should use on our website, about the color of our logo.
I want people who will argue with me about all of that stuff.
The people who I hire should...
not look at a problem and say, we should fix this.
They say, I intend to fix this.
The difference sounds small, but the actual difference in practice is huge.
And for me, it's the most important element in hiring.
I want everybody to be able to look at anything within the product and say, this sucks.
I intend to fix it and then go and do it.
In terms of where I've been able to find that approach, it's everywhere.
Some of the team are ex-colleagues from Puppet.
Some came through normal interview processes from referrals from contractors who were fantastic and we converted them to permanent.
And our team is all over the place.
We have people in Romania, Austria, France, the UK and San Francisco.
But the thing that ties everyone together is everybody says I intend to rather than we should.
