I had a nice Somali lady.
So I got tested for dyslexia.
And when I was done, they just said, you're not dyslexic.
You just don't know how to read.
And I said, that's what I suspected.
But I had to shut up all the people who are well-meaning.
They're like, come on, Adam, you're a smart guy.
Come on, don't tell me.
You must have a disease.
But here's the part that I found interesting.
If you're white and you can't read, you're dyslexic.
If you're black and you can't read, the system lets you down and you fell through the cracks and you had teachers that didn't care.
We never go, you must be dyslexic.
We go, oh, inner city guy, school never.
So busy running from gangbangers to school.
Why can't black people be equally as dyslexic as white?
I was a white guy who fell through the cracks.
And it's not like sickle cell.
I mean, I would assume, well, I don't know.
