Iran and the U.S.

have ended their latest round of in-person talks.

Iran's government said in a post on X, negotiations will continue despite some remaining differences.

Talks ended shortly after 3 a.m.

local time in Islamabad Sunday morning.

Iran State TV reports that both sides have agreed to another round of talks later on Sunday.

President Trump spoke briefly with reporters Saturday afternoon.

Central Command says two U.S.

Navy destroyers transited the Strait of Hormuz Saturday, laying the ground for the start of a mine-clearing operation.

The USS Frank E. Peterson and USS Michael Murphy transited the Strait of Hormuz and operated in the Arabian Gulf.

forces, including underwater drones, will join the clearance effort in coming days.
