We would have had two wins.
They'd have been in the quarters, had everything in sweetness and light.
No, I'm not taking away from the fact that the outcomes are the outcomes and that's what you're judged on.
But I wouldn't be as pessimistic.
The question I think for them now is can they see the good things that they've done and use that as a springboard?
Or I think Rory's the point here that when you get yourself in a bit of a hole like that, things are going against you.
does the team's head drop a bit and they lose confidence so it's almost like what's done is done is can they rescue their position and build off the good things they've created in the last two weeks that would be my I'd be more optimistic about it um
I thought they were pretty honest after.
There were small things that cost them at the end of the day, small mistakes, you know.
But at the end of the day, if you're judging outcomes, it's gloomy.
But for me, it's a bit more upbeat, I have to say.
I thought, you know, they've played some really good rugby.
They look like they're comforting their skins.
But at the end of the day, you've got to get the results.
And back at that, it's pretty gloomy in Munster this weekend, all right.
But that was my point.
I thought the Toulon defence was excellent.
And the reason I felt that Toulon, the defence was excellent, they would have talked all week about that.
That was their starting point.
If the defence was poor in Toulon on a sunny day in the south of France and they were slipping off tackles, they were going to get eaten alive.
