You think the external world is big.
The world within is one with no bounds.
It is forever.
I've pushed myself physically harder in the last few months than I have in a very long time, maybe ever.
And you know what the first thing I realized is?
When my heart rate is in zone five, when I am at a point of total shutdown, it takes me about 30 to 60 seconds rest to be completely functional again.
And to be in a place of that much duress, discomfort, and recover and jump right back into the game is a superpower I didn't know I had.
Why?
Because I'd never pushed myself that far.
I'd never dared to draw from that well.
There's a saying that suggests in order for one to see how strong they are, one must be willing to go further than they've ever gone.
When you immerse yourself into hell, you find this entire time you were capable of navigating the flames.
Perhaps you were even made to.
That kind of makes you sit back and think, doesn't it?
I could have easily lived my entire life and not known that about myself.
Not known what I can endure.
