Not until you go.
So here's to stepping out of whatever the present definition of normalcy is in your world.
Maybe not frantically changing the world around you, but certainly questioning the good, questioning yourself, questioning the road you're on.
Has the routine overshadowed the reason you put the routine into place?
Has the way things are come to outweigh the way you'd like them to be?
Has good become a distraction, misdirecting you away from both life's brilliance and your own?
You only need enough light to take the first step and the courage to keep going when that's all you have.
I want to pass along a pretty powerful anecdote, one that might just make you reconsider your desire to have life all figured out.
In this story, a father and his son are driving down a quiet road late at night.
No music, no conversation.
Just picture the low hum of the tires and the glow of passing streetlights.
The son's in the passenger seat, staring out the window.
Clearly, his mind is somewhere else completely.
And the father, kind of glancing over, starts to notice.
Yeah, I just, I just feel like I don't know what I'm doing.
Comes out all at once, right?
He goes, I thought I'd have it figured out by now.
Everyone else does.
They're all moving forward, building something.
And I just feel stuck.
