And so I then did, um, uh, I went to Vancouver for a bit, uh, in Canada, worked at a startup there.

And then, uh, my wife actually got into UC Santa Cruz and I came down here and it was, you know, September time, late September.

And it was, you know, 75 degrees and sunny and had been raining nonstop in Canada for like six weeks.

And I was like, all right, I'm moving.

But she actually, she has a, she, she nearly has, she has an ABD PhD in English.

Like she has everything but the dissertation in English.

How'd you guys meet?

No, we both went to Santa.

So the deal was this, like I moved to Cornell for my job and then she came along and then I was like, all right, well, you got to get a call next.

If you could do anything, what would you want to do?

And she's an artist.

And so she wanted to do this science illustration course at UC Santa Cruz.

And I said, well, why don't we do that?

And so she applied and she applied when we were in Vancouver and then she got in.

And originally the plan was for her to go down and do it.

It was a year long program.

and then come back to Vancouver because we liked Vancouver despite the rain.

But the company I was working with was going sideways in a pretty spectacular fashion.

Which company was that?

I would rather not discuss it.
