Europeans say Trump is using tariffs as a weapon after he threatened to hit any country hindering his plans to acquire Greenland with an extra 10% tariff.
European Parliament member Nathalie Loiseau says the transatlantic chaos is entirely of Trump's making.
On Tuesday, the European Parliament refused to ratify, as planned, a U.S.-EU trade deal that did not include sanctions on the U.S.
Loiseau says they have now prepared $100 billion worth of tariffs on American products and are ready to use them.

Over the weekend, President Trump threatened eight European NATO members with a further 10% tariff by February 1st if they did not stop blocking his Greenland plans.
And after President Macron said France would not join Trump's new peace board, Trump threatened a further 200% tariffs on French wine and champagne, saying that would change Macron's mind.
Trump also published personal texts to him by Macron and NATO head Mark Rutte.
Both men compliment Trump on his many accomplishments before saying they'd like to talk to him about his Greenland thinking.
French TV commentators called Trump's foreign policy brutish and one based on provocation and humiliation.

While he did not directly address Trump, Macron did not completely shy away from the subject either.
He opened his speech by saying, it's a time of peace, stability and predictability to considerable laughter in the room.
Macron said Trump wanted to weaken and subordinate Europe with an accumulation of endless tariffs.
Europeans are bracing for Trump's arrival at Davos and a possible showdown over Greenland.
