His first job was at daddy's company.
His family was pretty financially well off as well.
The only thing that he couldn't get handed to him were women.
And that would remain a touchy thing for Wayne through his whole entire life.
women didn't want him as much as he wanted them.
When he reached his mid-twenties, Wayne watched his older brother go into the police force, and this seemed to be a real eureka moment for him.
Wayne was a man that had always craved a little more power and authority than what's afforded to your average Joe.
Imagine you could tell someone to do something and they just do it, no questions asked, just because you have a badge.
It's something we see time and time again with power hungry cops.
There's a certain type of person that gets into law enforcement, not because they give a shit about public safety and protecting people, but because they only give a shit about themselves and what it could do for them to have that much power.
It likely crossed his mind many, many times.
the kind of things that he could order someone to do, the kind of silent intimidation he could have when he walked into a room just by displaying his badge or having a set of handcuffs chained to his belt.
So in 2004, he tried to get into the Kent police force and failed at the interview stage.
The exact reason for this, I'm not entirely sure, but this rejection didn't deter him.
He was gonna have authority somehow, he just had to figure out a way to get there now.
And then,
a loophole presented itself.
Two years later, Wayne would have been in his mid-30s when he applied to be a special police constable, and he finally got accepted.
Now, this role isn't quite as special as it sounds, despite the name,
It was a part-time volunteer role and the vetting process was much different to a full-time regular police officer role.
