into the pond where it was eventually found.
Somewhere along the way, he had also placed an order on Amazon for a big plastic tarp and a bungee cargo net.
By now, he will have been very aware of the intensifying investigation into Sarah's disappearance.
I mean, it was the main news story in London already by day two.
He will have been stressed.
But just the concept of a murderer having a day off of work for stress afterwards, it's laughable, isn't it?
On March 7th, 72 hours after murdering Sarah, it's the day before he was about to be arrested in his home, Wayne Cousins takes his two kids out to play for the very last time.
but he doesn't take them to a park or to a soft play area.
He took them to the plot of land that he owned where he was storing his murder victim's body.
And it's unclear actually when he used those builder's bags to transport her body into the pond, the idea that it could have actually been then while his kids were playing meters away
It just makes you feel sick.
The following day was March 8th.
Wayne was still off of work for stress, and it seemed that he spent most of his day just at home.
Around 10 past seven that night, he tried to wipe his phone completely.
He reset the whole thing to factory settings, deleting absolutely everything he could on there.
And it's not 100% clear what kind of evidence he felt like he was getting rid of, maybe like location data, but no doubt there were a lot of important things on that phone that were probably caught in the crossfire.
We can only imagine pictures of his kids, his wife, their memories.
And he's willing to delete it all forever in order to get away with the rape and murder of a young woman.
A little under an hour later, the police knocked on Cousin's door and arrested him.
After that brief conversation where he was still mostly denying the accusations against him, police took him into custody at Belmarsh Prison.
