Now, I have talked before about how when there's solicitors at the grocery store now, my move is to pretend I'm French and just say bonjour and walk past them.
Well, in French class, I wanted to know what do people in France do?
And we had a lesson where there was a video where in the video, a guy was annoyed sort of by a solicitor.
And he said like, dΓ©solΓ©, I got to go and just like blew past.
So I asked in class, hey, if that actually happens in France, what do you do?
Because the culture is so, it's ingrained that you say bonjour to everybody if they say it to you, right?
Or when you enter somewhere.
My teacher said that, yes, for the most part, even if there's a solicitor outside of the grocery store, you would acknowledge them, right?
Which I thought was interesting.
But then I said, what about homeless people?
Because we saw that a lot in France, right?
Did we?
Yeah.
Not you just walking around Emily in Paris style.
Sure.
No, usually they would be sitting like on a sidewalk against a wall asking for money, maybe with a cup.
Okay.
It's not funny.
So anyhow.
I was laughing at the absurdity that you didn't know what I'm talking about.
