Like the next day was a school day.

I remember just going to bed and the next thing I remember was waking up to a man standing above me, knife at my neck, telling me to get up and get out of bed.

And I mean, I remember as a kid, I chose to sleep closest to the door because I was like, oh, if anything ever happened, like it's my responsibility to watch over my little sister.
I'm older than her, so I'm going to sleep next to the door.
Never actually thinking anything could happen.
The movie that scared me most as a kid was The NeverEnding Story.
