My parents had built the house that we were living in and they really project managed the whole thing.
And my dad was in there laying tile with everyone else and painting walls and doing all the things.
What line of work was your dad in?
He was a mortgage broker.
So he would contract out with people or he went to, I can't even remember exactly what it's called, but basically the Mormon church services where they try to connect people in need with work.
And they had recommended this Richard Reesey to my dad.
And because it came from the church, my dad was like, oh, he's good.
So he brought him to our house, had him working on and around the house.
And neither of my parents knew that.
that actually he was a convicted felon and he had a whole history.
So when the police were asking for a list of everyone who had been to our house before, his name was on the list.
And then, of course, they're like, oh, well, he's a felon.
Yeah, they're like, it's him.
So it was in exchange for some work instead of money.
He would rather have the car.
And so that was the deal.
But then I'm not exactly sure on the details, but I don't know if he had complained.
Or there was something.
