I mean, every day I see people post some type of video on TikTok or Instagram Reels or Twitter or Blue Sky.
Like I just see people, everyday people post, God, you know, it feels so horrific to watch all of this happen and have to go to a nine to five.
And I have empathy for that.
Especially as someone who does community organizing.
And I mean, I think there is a lot of sacrifice.
I know there's a lot of sacrifice in the types of things that I do.
And there's also a lot of privilege in...
The fact that I even have community and loved ones who help me to pay my rent so that I can do this kind of organizing without worrying about not having shelter.
And it's like we were saying before, we...
you know, started the recording, like I take it very seriously that I need to rest and I need to feed myself and I need to take care of myself because rest is not resistance, but me getting the rest that I need and the care that I need allows me to resist in a way that helps someone else to get free.
And that's like what we all need to be doing for each other.
I don't know if this is like a hot take or a cold take or a lukewarm take.
But my perspective is one, who said that you just have to go to your nine to five while you watch all of this happen?
You are saying, oh, I have to do that.
No one is actually making you do that.
The consequences of that are that if you don't go to your nine to five or you take a sick day or something, you might get fired and you might be in a similarly vulnerable position to someone whose life is already on the line.
But if we all stood in solidarity with each other, that would be less dangerous.
