So I know I needed to do something with it.
I just didn't know what it was going to be yet.
So...
DJing and hanging out in the city during the week, going to Jersey to help my mom with her house, and working at a bar on the weekends.
I kind of never really got anything going on.
Once he got out of jail, I was just doing sublets around Brooklyn.
I had a lot of DJ gigs, but they don't really pay very much.
It's commission-based.
You only get 10% of what the bar brings in, and you're DJing on a Wednesday night.
You could make $60, or you could make $200.
It just depends what they make.
So when the crazy girlfriend hits me up, and I think she came out to visit or something, and we're talking about maybe getting back together.
I tend to forget physical pain and emotional pain.
I think it's because I grew up in a lot of trauma, like abusive household and abuse out on the streets and stuff.
I think once you're traumatized at a young age, you can kind of sit in a shitty diaper.
Even physical pain.
I forget what a tattoo feels like.
Until I get a new one.
So I kind of let her talk me into going back to San Francisco.
And a friend of mine was managing a bar.
