It's easier.
It saves so much time.
It means you can start later in the day as well because you don't have to then commute from the church to the venue.
Also, the venues decorate themselves really nicely.
There's a lot of pros to it.
And I know people have been saying...
Perhaps more people would go down the Catholic route if priests were allowed to have the wedding at the venue.
I don't really necessarily know if that's going to be the case, but I'm not surprised by these figures, to say the least.
I think everything said there.
I actually never even thought of the point about the baptisms and the communions that there is no replacement for them.
I think it's such a valid point.
I never thought about it like that, that maybe if there was a replacement for them.
And to be fair, there are people are doing it.
They're doing these like naming ceremonies now with their children instead, where they like name the godparents, which can you call them godparents if they're also not baptised children?
Is that not what it is, though, really?
And I think that's what people want.
Like, I know myself, whenever I do get married, that's what I want.
I want to party.
I don't want to be going in saying my Hail Mary's.
Sorry.
