On February 20th of 2026, this was very recently, investigators with the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office confirmed that they had located Smith after receiving new information the day before.

I don't know what this new information was.

I was trying to figure that out and I was reading a lot of articles on this case because I was trying to figure out the exact details of how they came to know where she was located.

I don't know.

I can't find it.

I don't know.

Detectives met with her in person at an undisclosed location in North Carolina and confirmed that she is alive and in good health.
