Yeah, but I do believe you can feel badly for the family of the perpetrator too.
I mean, that mom and dad.
I mean, those kids, one night acting stupid, trying to reenact a movie and being obsessed with Columbine led them to the rest of their life in prison.
Well, yeah, but when he says he would take his place, that means...
I think he just meant he would bear the brunt of whatever pain his son is going through.
He would take that on himself.
I know, but I don't mean to admit it's literally that he means that his son should walk free.
Well, you know what else he did?
The way I understood it was when he was talking about when he was younger during that time period, I believe he said he was gone a lot for work and he was working a lot.
I think he was making a lot of money.
At least that's the way that was the way I took it.
Right.
And he was talking about how he was doing well.
And I think my interpretation was that he was making a lot of money.
Then he said after his son committed this murder and then was put in prison, that nothing meant anything to him anymore.
He said he got rid of all of his possessions, even real estate.
I remember that.
Like he didn't even try to make money.
He just gave everything away.
Yeah, I guess at that point, there is no meaning to anything anymore.
