Which, by the way, if you're only getting spiritual revelations through a podcast, that should give you more of a reason to step away from the podcast and go into the Bible yourself. Podcasts and sermons, watching them on YouTube shouldn't be the main place where you're seeking revelations from the Lord. Where you should be seeking the most revelations from God is in your secret space.

And whenever you're in your alone consecrated time with the Lord and we'll go to these podcasts and we'll go to these sermons and we'll do all these things and we'll be like, man, like this is surely where God is speaking. And it's like that same revelation that fell upon your pastor, he got that in a secret space. And you could get that same word if you were also in your secret space. Amen?

So I'm going to teach you guys a structure of how to Bible study, which is also well, there's there were two structures that I wrote, but I'm not going to go over the first one because I wrote two structures of how to. put together a sermon and how to articulate the word of God, which I think we'll do a different day, but how to read and study the Bible.

If you've been to seminary or if you've been under some sort of discipleship, you've probably heard of this structure, which is called POIMA. It's P-O-I-M-A, and that's prayer. It's observation, interpretation, meditation, and application. And when you combine all of these characteristics together, you're going to find really effective results in your Bible studying. So every time, just to give you a visual, right before I'm about to read the word each and every single day, the first thing I do is pray. And there's a few things that I pray. Of course, I could have my generic prayers like adoration and love and gratitude and thankfulness and then petitioning requests and then also consulting with God. And so there's a lot of layers to prayer.
