feel like a dumb question of like oh i don't understand this word but you have to ask those questions so it gives you a better idea of the context and also understanding that the bible is written in three languages and that's hebrew aramaic and greek and so depending on what chapter you're reading and what book you're reading the language might shift and change so in the old testament where i believe

First one, prayer. So you're praying. You're going into the word with open mind, open heart, open spirit. You rid off all fear and anxiety and pride and all self agendas and motives. Then you go into observation. You're asking all these questions. So usually what I do is after I pray, I'll read the scripture and then all the questions that I have, I'll write them down.

Okay, this is the step we're staying on. I'll write down all the questions and then we get to the next step, which is interpretation. Interpretation is you answering all the questions that you just wrote down. That's it. You just answer what you ask. But this is probably one of the most crucial parts of this entire process because this is the part you have to get right.

You have to get this part right because you can ask all the questions and you can pray and you can read the scriptures. But if you do not interpret it correctly, correctly, then that's not going to work. Like you have to get this part right, because this part is super crucial to how you receive what the Bible is testifying about itself.

So I'm going to give two reliable sources that I really, really love. I'm going to give you my number one source that I love reading, and it's Desiring God by John Piper. I love Desiring God. I think John Piper is a brilliant theologian. I love, I actually watch a lot of his old sermons.

There's been a few of his sermons that have like changed my life personally, but all of his teachings and he even has like a podcast and I mean, there's multitudes of stuff, but Desiring God is a study guide and it's really great. It's not like Blue Letter Bible or Enduring Word, which I do love Enduring Word. That's my second recommendation. But it's not that structure.
